About

Lifesharer is about everything that I do–writing, readng, watching, leadership, studying, church ministry, photography, thinking, eating, etc. You can read my reflections, reviews, and thoughts, and some self-help articles.

Who is Lifesharer? Well, one of the most difficult things for me to do is to describe myself. I have always wrote in grade school slumbooks’ describe yourself, “just see me in person.” Funny but as a writer I have different sides of personality often portrayed in my writing but then, just to give you a glimpse, I won’t ask you to go over all my blog posts, I decided to create this page.

I am Earlie Pasion. My name is kinda weird because it is always mistaken to be a male’s name especially to those people who do not know me. The origin is a little exciting though. My parent’s original thinking is I am to be named after my birthstone, pearl. But one of their godparents said that when I grow up, my playmates might tease me “Pearly shell from the ocean, shining in the sun… (singing).” So instead, they dropped the “P” and added “ie”. I am thankful they have thought of that.

I am from the province of Isabela and I am proud of my being an Ilocano, though I can not fully express myself in that language. Napintasak latta!

I am a graduate of journalism but was not able to practice it professionally in media because I graduated during the time when the killing of journalists is heightened (self-preservation, I guess). Instead, I worked with a company that publishes supplementary magazines for grade school and high school. I wrote for social studies and values magazines for almost three years before I left for a fulltime leadership with young people in the United Methodist Church. My leadership term ended in 2010 and since then I have been working with Discipleship Resources-Philippines as a Publishing Coordinator (the person-in-charge of almost everything in the organization).

I am writing/blogging to share my thoughts and I encourage you to do so.
