Who is Lifesharer? Well, one of the most difficult things for me to do is to describe myself. I have always wrote in grade school slumbook describe yourself, “just see me in person.” Funny but as a writer I have different sides of personality often portrayed in my writing but then, just to give you a glimpse, I won’t ask you to go over all my blog posts, I decided to create this page.
I am Earlie Pasion. My name is kinda weird because it is always mistaken to be a male’s name especially to those people who do not know me. The origin is a little exciting though. My parent’s original thinking is I am to be named after my birthstone, pearl. But one of their godparents said that when I grow up, my playmates might tease me “Pearly shell from the ocean, shining in the sun… (singing).” So instead, they dropped the P and added ie. I am thankful they have thought of that.
I am from Isabela and I am proud of my being an Ilocano, though I can not fully express myself in that language. Napintas nak latta!
I am a writer by profession. I spent four years in the Royal, Pontifical and Catholic University of (Flooded EspaƱa) Santo Tomas to earn my degree in Journalism. Because I love life, I did not enter the world of the mainstream media because I graduated in the year when the killing of journalists is heightened. Instead, for more than two years since college graduation, I worked in a company that publishes supplementary magazines for grade school and high school. I wrote in Social Studies and Values magazines. Then, because of public demand (spell “public”) I resigned my job but continued to be a contributor to the magazines.
I am now currently working at home and some offices in the church. I am deeply involve in the ministries of young people of the United Methodist Church which give me a lot of learning, self-development, skills enhancement and the like while helping others to be the same (not to mention the stress).
I am a writer, I also read sometimes and watch television. I love to travel even if it gives me body aches and jetlag. I also love to taking pictures and layouting. My life is usually spent in front of my desktop computer but I am hoping that I will be spending it with my laptop soon.
I am also a musician because I love listening to the rhythm created by my fingers in the keyboard (computer) but I am not hoping that I could play the real keyboard really well. Music is one of my frustrations, I love it but it seems music hates me.
